Farewell Concert Jan and Anny

For the last time Jan and Anny. In collaboration with MAX, The Original Voices Of BZN will give a special farewell concert on Sunday afternoon December 1st at the Jaarbeurs in Utrecht. A one-off and unique show with their biggest hits and with guest appearances by Jan Smit, Ancora and the Volendams Opera Choir.

The concert at the Jaarbeurs is a unique concert, in which the singing duo will once again perform their greatest hits such as Take Me To Ibiza, Mon Amour, Lady McCorey, Chanson D’Amour, Rockin The Trolls and many other well-known BZN songs. In 1996, during two successful Symphonic Night concerts of BZN, a young Jan Smit made his appearance. Therefore, he shouldn’t be absent at this farewell concert. The Volendam Opera Choir was also present at the time. They will also perform during the concert on December 1st. The group Ancora completes the line-up. Jan Keizer and his son Louis are the suppliers of most of the lyrics of the band. During this special television concert Jan and Anny will be accompanied by a twenty-piece live orchestra.

Jan and Anny have been on stage together for the past ten years. The two came together again at the special request of Mies Bouwman, after they hadn’t performed together for 25 years. The roots of Jan and Anny lie with BZN. From 1976 to 1984 they were the faces of the group. BZN grew into the most successful pop group in Dutch music history.

During the concert, TV recordings are made. The doors of the Jaarbeurs open at 14.00h and the concert starts at 16.00h.
