Privacy Statement
1. General
Ticketpoint respects the privacy of visitors to its website and its customers and treats and processes personal data carefully and in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations. In this statement you can read why and for what purpose we would like to use and store your data, what data we collect and what happens to your personal data.
This privacy policy applies to all data that Ticketpoint collects and processes from users of our website, our customers, users of our (online) services and purchasers of our products.
Our website also contains links to third-party websites, such as organizers of events for which we offer tickets. Although these websites have been selected with care, we are not responsible for the processing of your personal data via these websites. This privacy policy also does not apply to the use of such websites.
2. Purposes and grounds for processing your data
Ticketpoint collects and processes your personal data primarily for entering into and executing agreements for the purchase of tickets between buyers and event organizers. In addition, Ticketpoint may also use your data to improve its products and services and to maintain and manage contacts with you or its contracting parties and customers. The latter enables Ticketpoint to always be able to offer current and appropriate products and services and to improve its services.
Ticketpoint uses the data that has been collected and processed primarily for the following purposes:
- to enter into and execute agreements responsibly
- to process, invoice and handle agreements
- to communicate with you
- to inform you about the progress of your order
- to inform you about products, services and promotions
- to link your data to an account
- to maintain the relationship with our customers
- for marketing activities of Ticketpoint and of event organizers
Below we will explain in more detail how Ticketpoint processes data.
When concluding and executing agreements
To execute each order, we need your name, email address, address(es), payment details and also your telephone number. This allows us to process your order and deliver purchased Tickets. We can also keep you informed about your order.
If this is necessary for the execution of the agreement, we will also provide your details to other parties. If you purchase Tickets for an event via our website, an agreement is concluded between you and the organizer of that event. Your details will also be provided to that organizer.
When creating an account with Ticketpoint
If you create an account with Ticketpoint or if you order tickets from us, we will ask you for the following information: your name, date of birth, address(es), telephone number, email address, delivery address. Your payment for tickets is made via the payment platform we use. We only consult this data for possible refunds or checks. The data received will be stored by us, so that you do not have to re-enter this data for future orders. Previous orders that you have placed with us via your account can also be found in most cases.
For sending offers or newsletters
You can indicate that you would like to receive newsletters or offers from Ticketpoint. Ticketpoint will only send these if you have explicitly agreed to this by registering for this. The news items and offers that you receive from Ticketpoint are tailored to your personal data, including the Tickets that you have previously purchased. Ticketpoint knows what you are interested in and you will receive news and offers that are of interest to you.
Offers for events can also come from other parties, namely event organisers. Here too, you will only receive these if you have agreed to this.
We analyse the responses to our newsletters and offers and look, for example, at how people respond to offers, which products and services are popular and how we can take this into account in our products and services. This data is pseudonymised as much as possible.
You can always unsubscribe from newsletters and offers, including here. For special promotions or competitions
To participate in a promotion or competition, we need your name, address and e-mail address and sometimes also your telephone number. You must then fill in this information to participate or – if you have already given permission – your information known to us will be used for this purpose. This is primarily to be able to carry out the promotions or competitions and (for example) to award prizes or products, but we also use the information to see how and by whom our promotions and competitions are responded to.
When contacting our customer service
You can call us and chat with us on our website about questions, comments or complaints. Your information and the content of the question or comment will be stored by us. Any questions or comments from you via a social media account will also be stored by Ticketpoint. We use this information to improve our services and can take your previous questions or comments into account when contacting you in the future.
For fraud prevention
Ticketpoint can use information to investigate, prevent and combat fraud. If necessary, we provide customer information to the government.
For the management of business contacts
Ticketpoint stores the data of all contact persons with its business contracting parties. To the extent that this is personal data, this data is treated in the same way as the data of our customers. This obligation also applies to the data provided to organizers of events for which you have purchased tickets
